The Aeronavigation Division provides and supports our world-class, fully customised, aeronautical information software solutions for both civil and military customers in the aeronautical fields of communications, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management. Our engineers conduct Aeronautical Impact Studies that provide expert advice to leading infrastructure developers and aviation regulatory organisations, to enable them to assess the impact of any new development on aviation activities, instrument flight procedures, navigation aids, ATC radar facilities and prescribed airspace.

Recent activities involve aeronautical studies in relation to:

• Wind farms in close proximity to major airports;
• Wind farm electromagnetic interference with ATC radar systems;
• Gas peaking power stations
• Plume rise assessments;
• High rise building developments in close proximity to major airports;
• Wind farm obstacle lighting requirements and layout;
• Obstacle limitation surface (ICAO Annex 14 OLS) charts; and
• Mobile network towers in close proximity to aerodromes.
